This sausage is beautiful, a really nice flavoured german sausage. Trouble is, it comes packaged twice. The first bag is vacuum packed and works just fine. It's not slimey or anything. But The Mad Butcher feels it is necessary to repack the meat in more plastic film and a polystyrene tray. Why? Not necessary. It's us suckers of fine sausage that have the chore of disposing of The Mad Butcher's overly-generous wrapping.
Butchery departments in supermarkets really need a good talking to. Ask for your meat to be packed in paper, and as you order it. Vote with your feet and let the supermarket manager know why you object.
